Saw her at the check-in desk, the kind of girl that makes me feel second best. But we both made the same mistake, we got our roll call wrong, told we had to wait

Got my seat with window view, and blocked out any thought of you. But a logo’d bag against my knee, meant that you had come and sat right next to me.
So as we rose above the clouds, the sunset brought the house lights down
I caught it with some camera time, that’s when you spoke you asked ‘ Could you take one with mine?’

Sometime later, we touched down. Back to earth with both feet on the ground. If I saw you leave through baggage reclaim, how would I know if we would ever meet again?

We talked about who we are. You said you worked away, you said you worked in HR. You said when you left home you knew it’d be hard, but you never knew how hard it’d be living on your own, I said yeah well I play guitar, I don’t have a plan I just don’t get that far. As we drifted in our seat, I though, yeah, maybe we could meet.
